TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Course bookings must be confirmed in writing either by post or email. By agreeing to a course date, returning our booking form or supplying student registration details you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
If you operate a purchase order system, then you must supply a written purchase order number at the time of booking.
Full payment for courses is due at the time of booking to secure your place(s) unless otherwise agreed. If you operate a different payment system then please contact us to advise upon booking.
A complete refund of course fees, minus 15% admin fee will be paid if course is cancelled or amended more than 14 days prior to the start date.
Cancellations/changes to course dates less than 14 days prior to original course start date will result in the loss of fees paid unless otherwise agreed. This is to cover loss of earnings for the instructor/Branch Training. Any payments for venue hire for exclusive use, will also have to be paid if the venue does not refund Branch Training.
All practical assessments and written exams will have to be passed before certification can be issued, and no refund will be issued after course has been completed if students do not pass either written exams, or practical assessments. Threatening or violent behaviour towards the tutor or any other student will not be tolerated and will result in the participant being asked to leave without a refund.
All delegates attending any course must have reasonable level of spoken and written English. If a higher level of English literacy is required, then that will be outlined in the pre-course details. If any delegate feels that they have any special learning requirements, or low level of understanding of the English language, then they should notify their instructor prior to the course start date. This is so their suitability for the course can be assessed and/or any adaptions can be made to support them where appropriate.
No certification will be issued until all course fees have been paid in full.
Replacement certificates can be issued at an additional cost of £10 per certificate. If an external awarding body /awarding organisation has been used to issue certificates, then there will be an additional cost, as per their certificate costings plus a £10 administration fee.
Branch Training would like to highlight that all courses are provided by request of the person that has booked the course(s). We are not responsible and will not advise you which course is best suited to your needs/business. That will depend on your HSE risk assessment, insurance policy, personal needs, accrediting body of your profession etc… We therefore ask that you please check that the course will suit these needs/requirements before booking.
For those doing a FAW Requalification: If you are booking a 2-day First Aid at Work (FAW) requalification, on booking you must provide us with copy of the current First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate for each delegate, to be eligible to do the 2-day requalification. The current certificate needs to be in date (with a 28-day grace period) and may be subject to further checks before it can be accepted. The FAW requalification can be completed prior to the previous certificate expiring and dated in accordance with the previous certificate (up to a maximum of three months).
For those doing blended training: If you are completing a blended course, then you will need to complete all online aspects before attending the practical class. We often use an external company for the online course component, so once a delegate has registered or if we have been asked to register a delegate, then no refund can be given. If Branch Training registers delegates then we will assume that permission has been granted for us to process their personal data. Please also check that you have permission to forward this personal data on to us before you do so. Some courses have to be completed within certain timeframes. Please check that you or the delegates you are booking for, complete both the online and the practical course elements in the appropriate timeframe:
The timeframes for online course and classroom completion are:
- Paediatric, must be completed within the 6 weeks before the classroom;
- Emergency First Aid at Work, must be completed within the 3 weeks prior to the classroom
- First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work Requalification, must be completed within the 10 weeks prior to the final day of the classroom.
For those attending other training sessions:
- Course completion timeframes may vary, but details will be sent to you at the time of booking if applicable. Any online course elements must be completed prior to the classroom session, unless otherwise stated.
If attending an online training session via Zoom or Microsoft Teams for example, then all participants must be present for the duration of the session. Participants must use a device with a camera which is switched on, so that we can see them and verify their attendance.
Personal details collected, will be used to register delegates with our awarding organisation/body or online course provider if applicable, including name, email address, date of birth, gender, address and contact numbers. We will not sell or share your details with other parties other than our awarding organisations/bodies or online course providers.
Please notify Branch Training of any special requirements. i.e. disabled access, physical limitations (as the course may be interactive) and/or any special learning requirements. We will always do our best to ensure our courses are accessible. On many courses, especially the first aid courses, there are practical elements that have to be passed. For example; on HSE compliant workplace courses and Ofsted compliant paediatric courses, delegates must be able to get down to floor level and perform CPR for a minimum of two minutes and be able to put someone into the recovery position. There are often other practical elements and written elements that will also need to be completed successfully in order to pass the course. If is likely that you or anyone you are booking a course for, is unable to complete these elements, then please let us know before the start date of the course, so that we can assess whether we can make reason adaptions and whether the course is suitable. No delegate should ever put themselves or others at risk to complete a course.

How to pay
Course fees can be paid via cheque or bank transfer. If paying by cheque, they should be made out to Branch Training. Please included your invoice number on the back of the cheque.
